Installing the Plexiglass Backglass

Installation remains straightforward,
but a plexiglass panel of this size should always be handled with care.
We recommend using both hands
and preparing a clean, stable area where you can safely place the old backglass.

1. Turn off your pinball machine completely and unplug it before beginning any work.
2. Unlock the backbox using the appropriate key for your machine.
3. Securely hold the existing backglass before releasing its retaining system.
4. Carefully remove it from its guides or housing, depending on the design of your pinball machine.
5. Take advantage of the access to thoroughly clean the inside of the backbox and remove any accumulated dust.
6. Also check the condition of the lighting to ensure the best possible result with the new backglass.
7. Remove any protective films from the new panel before installation.
8. Position the 3 mm Plexiglass Backglass in its designated location without forcing it.
9. Carefully slide it into the guides or supports provided for this purpose.
10. Check that it is correctly centered and make sure no excessive pressure is being applied to the plexiglass.
11. Reinstall the retaining system, then close and lock the backbox.
12. Switch the pinball machine back on and check the visual result with the backbox lighting activated.

Tips for the best possible result

• Never force the panel into a rail or support that is too tight.
• Handle the backglass by its edges to minimize fingerprints.
• Use only a soft microfiber cloth for cleaning and maintenance.
• Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the plexiglass or artwork.
• Take advantage of the replacement to clean the backbox and check its lighting.
• Store your original backglass in a clean, dry and protected place if you want to be able to return the machine to its original configuration.
