Installation and connection to the GI circuit

Installing the illuminated chest is accessible to pinball enthusiasts. The lighting system uses connectors that clip onto the GI wires, allowing the mod to be integrated into the machine’s general illumination circuit.

1. Completely switch off and unplug the pinball machine before beginning any work.
2. Remove the lockdown bar, then carefully slide out the playfield glass.
3. Choose a compatible location for the treasure chest.
4. Temporarily position the chest to check its orientation, visibility and available space.
5. Make sure the chest does not interfere with any ball trajectory, ramp or moving component.
6. Secure the mod in the chosen location using a suitable mounting system.
7. Carefully route the chest’s wiring underneath the playfield, avoiding moving mechanisms.
8. Locate a GI power supply compatible with the electrical specifications of the mod.
9. Connect the LED system wires to the GI wiring using the supplied clip-on connectors, following the connection instructions.
10. Check that the connectors are properly closed and that the cables are securely held in place.
11. Make sure no wire can come into contact with a moving component or a hot area.
12. Switch the pinball machine back on and check that the chest lighting works correctly.
13. Once all checks are complete, reinstall the glass and then the lockdown bar.

Important: Before making any connection, ensure that the selected GI circuit is compatible with the supplied LED system. Electrical specifications and wiring locations may vary depending on pinball manufacturers and generations.

The connection does not require an independent power supply. However, the clip-on connectors establish electrical contact with the existing wires: removing them may leave a mark on the insulation.
