This shooter knob was created to complement Fallout pinball and its blend of science fiction, 1950s style, retro-futuristic technology and a post-apocalyptic world.
As one of the franchise’s most iconic symbols, Vault Boy creates an immediate visual connection with the machine’s theme when featured on the shooter knob. Even with the pinball machine switched off, he becomes a decorative detail in his own right on the front of the cabinet.

Detailed shooter knob installation
Replacing the original shooter knob is straightforward and usually takes just a few minutes. No permanent modification to the pinball machine is required.
- Switch off your pinball machine before carrying out any work.
- Open the coin door to access the inside of the cabinet.
- Locate the rear of the shooter rod.
- Hold the rod steady to prevent it from turning during removal.
- Carefully unscrew the original shooter knob counterclockwise.
- Remove the existing shooter knob completely.
- Screw your new Vault Boy Shooter Knob onto the original thread.
- Turn the head to the desired orientation.
- Tighten firmly by hand without using excessive force.
- Check that the rod slides freely and returns correctly to its resting position.
The installation is fully reversible. You can refit the original shooter knob at any time without permanently altering your machine.
