Transform the fasteners on your pinball machine into miniature decorative features with our 3D decorative nuts shaped like weathered wooden posts. Originally created for the Jaws pinball machine by Stern, these accessories evoke old wooden piers, fishing docks and rustic structures found around Amity Island.

Thanks to their sculpted wood grain, realistic cracks and weathered metal-effect bands, these wooden posts add an authentic touch to your playfield. Furthermore, their different heights allow you to create varied decorative arrangements depending on the available space.

And for once, even the nuts on your pinball machine can have a personality of their own. After all, a proper Amity Island dock deserves something more interesting than an ordinary fastener!

Four Heights and Several Designs Available

Our Decorative Wooden Post Nuts are available in several designs inspired by traditional wooden structures, including vertical logs, small posts, shorter wooden elements and posts featuring aged metal bands.

Choose the height that best suits your decoration:

• 7 mm – 0.276″: Extra-short version, ideal for a subtle decorative finish.
• 15 mm – 0.591″: Small decorative post that adds dimension without taking up too much space.
• 24 mm – 0.945″: Medium-height version for creating more noticeable decorative elements.
• 32 mm – 1.260″: Tall wooden post that enhances the appearance of fences, docks and rustic wooden structures.

These different dimensions allow you to create varied arrangements. You can also combine several heights to achieve a more natural and realistic appearance.

Two American Thread Sizes: #6-32 and #8-32

To accommodate different pinball machine fasteners, these 3D decorative nuts are available with two American thread sizes:

• #6-32 UNC: Nominal diameter of approximately 3.51 mm (0.138″), with 32 threads per inch.
• #8-32 UNC: Nominal diameter of approximately 4.17 mm (0.164″), with 32 threads per inch.

Before ordering, check the thread size of your existing fastener and the available clearance around it. These two thread sizes are not interchangeable.

3D Printing and Hand-Painted Craftsmanship

At Pinball Custom, we 3D print each decorative wooden post to order. We then carefully prepare and individually hand-paint every piece.

Different shades of brown highlight the wood grain and sculpted cracks. Detailed shading emphasizes the recessed areas, while the decorative bands receive a finish resembling aged metal.

This handcrafted process gives every post subtle individual characteristics. Combining several designs and heights allows you to create a natural-looking, varied decoration.

Installing the Decorative Wooden Post Nuts

These decorative pinball nuts replace existing nuts on compatible threaded posts. Installation is straightforward when the selected thread size and available clearance match your machine’s mounting points.

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Preparation: Switch off your pinball machine, unplug it from the power supply, then remove the lockdown bar and playfield glass.
2. Thread identification: Check whether the original threaded post uses #6-32 or #8-32 UNC threading.
3. Measurements: Check the available height and surrounding clearance before selecting your decorative post.
4. Removal: Carefully remove the existing nut, keeping any washers or spacers in their original positions.
5. Installation: Gently screw the decorative wooden post onto the compatible threaded stud.
6. Tightening: Hold the main body of the piece and tighten it carefully by hand without forcing it.
7. Inspection: Make sure the decorative post does not interfere with ball movement, ramps or moving components.
8. Finalization: Check that the surrounding components remain correctly secured, then reinstall the playfield glass and lockdown bar before switching your machine back on.

Tip: Never force the decorative nut onto an incompatible thread. If you feel unusual resistance, stop and verify the thread size. Also avoid overtightening, as excessive force could damage the decorative piece or its internal threading.

When combining different heights, always check the clearance beneath the playfield glass and around moving components. A decorative wooden post should enhance the appearance of your machine without affecting gameplay.
