Installing Your Apron Cover – Two Methods Depending on Your Pinball Machine

Installation depends on the material supplied for your model. However, both versions are installed directly over the original apron without replacing it.

Important: Check which type of apron cover you have received before beginning. The magnetic version simply attaches to metal, while the plexiglass version requires more precise adhesive installation.

Installing the Ultra-Glossy Magnetic Apron Cover

1. Switch off your pinball machine before handling any components.
2. Check that the original apron is clean and that nothing on its surface could interfere with installation.
3. Gently clean the apron with a soft cloth to remove dust and greasy marks.
4. Allow the surface to dry completely.
5. Position the magnetic apron cover in front of its intended location.
6. Carefully align the edges and any cutouts with those of the original apron.
7. Gradually place the cover onto the metal surface.
8. Gently smooth it with your hand to ensure good contact across the entire surface.
9. Check that the cover is correctly positioned and that no edges extend beyond the apron.
10. Enjoy your newly customized apron immediately!

Tip: If you are not satisfied with the positioning, gently lift the magnetic cover and reposition it. Avoid sliding it across a dusty surface to reduce the risk of scratches.

This version therefore allows you to easily change the appearance of your pinball machine without using glue.

Installing the Self-Adhesive Plexiglass Apron Cover

1. Completely switch off your pinball machine before beginning any work.
2. Carefully clean the surface of the original apron.
3. Remove dust, greasy marks and any remaining cleaning product residue.
4. Use a soft cloth and a cleaning product compatible with your machine’s plastic.
5. Allow the surface to dry completely before starting installation.
6. Test-fit the apron cover without removing the adhesive backing.
7. Check its orientation, centering and alignment with any cutouts.
8. Identify the edges that will serve as guides during installation.
9. Gradually peel away the protective adhesive backing.
10. Carefully position the cover on the apron, starting from one correctly aligned edge.
11. Gradually lower the plexiglass onto the surface to prevent misalignment.
12. Apply gentle, even pressure to the appropriate areas to promote adhesion.
13. Check that the cover is securely attached and properly aligned.
14. Avoid unnecessarily handling or putting pressure on the piece immediately after installation to allow the adhesive to develop its full holding strength.

Important: Take your time before removing the adhesive backing. Unlike the magnetic version, the self-adhesive apron cover cannot be repositioned as easily once applied.

We also advise against forcibly removing an apron cover that has already been installed. Doing so could damage the adhesive, the artwork or the original surface.
